Since 2000 and the first instruction of Pierre Sebag as an expert witness in what were to become two landmark sugar arbitration cases of roughly $20 million each, Sugar K Ltd has, through an increasing involvement in that field and its well known independence and impartiality, gained an impeccable reputation as an expert in commodities with law firms and Queens Counsels.

Whereas this expert role was initially dealing only with sugar related litigation, Sugar K Ltd has in the past several years been instructed in a very large ethanol case ($36 million) and in several cases dealing with soybeans and soybean meal pellets.

Sugar K Ltd has now acted as expert in score of litigation cases and in a few instances has also been asked to mediate.

Sugar K Ltd has been instructed by some of the top legal firms in the City of London such as Thomas Cooper, Hill Dickinson, Clyde & Co, Taylor Wessing, Holman Fenwick & Willan, Hunton & Williams, Davies Johnson, Jackson Parton and other firms such as Middleton Potts which have since been consolidated through mergers.

In addition, Sugar K Ltd has been instructed in a number of cases by these firms' branch offices in Dubai and Piraeus.

As no conflicts of interest exist, Sugar K Ltd has been able to act for trading companies, producers, final end buyers of the product and ship owners alike in various contractual disputes.

Sugar K Ltd is currently further expanding its area of expertise to other exchange traded commodities where its considerable experience could easily be used.
